About Us

My Meego is a small editorial team covering Linux-based smartphone and tablet platforms: the operating systems themselves, the apps built for them, and the downloads readers need to get set up. The name is a nod to the open-source MeeGo mobile project, and reflects a lasting interest in phones and tablets that run on open, Linux-based software rather than the two dominant mobile ecosystems.

Coverage decisions start with what a reader is trying to do: pick a device, find a working app, or fix a setup problem. We try to run the operating systems and apps we write about on real hardware, note what we could not verify firsthand, and update guides when a project changes its downloads or a device goes out of support.

My Meego is a participant in the Amazon Associates program and earns from qualifying purchases made through links on this site.

Questions, corrections, and device or app suggestions are always welcome through the contact page, and we read every message that comes in.
